in therapy kindra uses a meaning orientated, attachment focused and trauma-informed approach. her goal is to walk beside individuals and families on their journey through loss or caregiver stress. kindra helps clients to feel more connected to their emotions by offering a safe space to explore big feelings and retell their stories. the goal is to move from a preoccupation with your loss to a place where you can find meaning.

kindra is a registered social worker with a master of social work degree from mcgill university. She is passionate about supporting individuals and families who are living with serious illness or grieving a loss. She also has a special interest in supporting health care professionals who work in environments where grief and loss are ever-present.

In her practice, Kindra takes a meaning-oriented, attachment-focused, and trauma-informed approach. She walks alongside individuals and families on their journeys through loss, offering compassion, presence, and guidance.

With 15 years of experience across diverse health care settings, Kindra brings a depth of knowledge that enriches her therapeutic work. She has specialized training in supporting people facing illness, traumatic events, and death. She is also trained in Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR), a therapeutic approach for working with attachment-based trauma and overwhelming emotional experiences.

philosophy

my purpose of offering therapy is to support and bear witness to others' experience of loss and caregiver stress. i offer a safe space to develop a trusting relationship. together, I believe we can build a more gentle understanding of our emotions and develop a new awareness of ourselves while adjusting to change in our lives.
